I have visited the Farne Islands on a number of occaisons, my first trip was when I was around 10 or 11 I think. I was just getting into bird watching at the time but the highlight for me was my first Ringed Plover.
The photos on this trip were taken during a bird flu outbreak throughout the UK and it was starting to impact the Farne Islands. 2 weeks after our visit the reserve was closed and no further landings were permitted that year.
On the same trip we had pretty much a whole day on Lindisfarne and I’ve included a few photos from there in this collection also.
