After the cold, dark winter a friend and I had the morning to ourselves so we spent the morning at RSPB St Aiden’s to sample the spring sunshine and see how the birdlife was waking up.
The birds were fine and managed a few photos. Reed Bunting, Great Crested Grebe, Male Goldeneye and a Greylag Goose in flight

Nice to see the birds waking up after winter! Did you spot any other interesting species besides the ones mentioned?
There were many ducks and gulls. Heard a number of Bitterns but didn’t see any.
