We went on holiday to Southwold in our van. On the drive down we stopped in Blakeney for a night to catch up with family. On the way back up a week later, we stopped in Cley for a night just because we could. We walked across the marshes on both occaisons but in different directions each time. I was not aware before hand that there were Cattle Egrets on the marshes so imagine my surprise when I came across them. First time I saw them I didn’t have my binoculars or camera so wasn’t sure that’s what they were as they were distant. Later I went for a wander on my own (without the dogs) at a more photographer-friendly pace, with my camera. Managed to find the cattle and in amongst them were the Cattle Egrets I had seen earlier. I also managed to capture some young Swallows and a Grey Heron
